We came home a couple of weeks ago and sitting on our lawn was this little scarecrow family. It was dark so at first it kind of startled us. Our friends had put it on our lawn with a little note attached. It was part of a fundraiser for the 8Th grade trip to New York. It said George, Martha and their family would be spending the night with us. It explained the trip and asked if we might be able to put some money in the envelope to help out with the cost. We also got to pick where to send the family next. We thought it was such a cleaver idea for a fundraiser. My kids tried to watch the next evening to see someone come and pick them up. But, they were cleaver and we never saw anyone!
