Christmas

Christmas is over and the house looks bare with all the decorations down.  I hated sending the kids back to school and wished we had another week home together.  We really enjoyed the Christmas season.  Christmas Eve was spent with my family and part of Jared's family.  We started a new tradition this year.  We decided not to exchange gifts with the family on Christmas Eve like we have done every year since forever.  We wanted to take the focus away from the gifts and the material aspect of the session.  The kids played games and they did a little play of the birth of the Christ.  We had a yummy dinner with way too much food and then we did an ornament exchange.  It was really a fabulous evening and noone even missed all those presents.  Jared's dad stayed the week with us. He was able to be with us on New Years Eve. We had an early dinner with Jared's family and then came home. The boys had a friend spend the night. It was a fun evening with the kids as we rang in another new year! Happy 2011!

                                                Waiting to see what Santa
                                                 left on Christmas morning.

Every New Year's Eve we use
                                          our Chocolate Fountain...Yum!

Lindy didn't make it till midnight!
